What a Joker!

What a Joker!

For Halloween, Deanna dressed up as a mummy, and I dressed myself up as the Joker from Batman: The Dark Knight. I photographed myself with the REAL joker in the background to illustrate the contrasts between the two of us. Personally, I believe Deanna did a wonderful job applying the makeup to my face – I think I actually looked pretty scary. Anyway, after we had our costumes on, Deanna, Jake, and I went to the movie theater to see The Shining. Despite technical problems with the projector, it turned out to be very enjoyable. After that, we went back to the dorm room and watched Saw I. Deanna didn’t appreciate it, but I thought it was “attention-grabbing” at the very least. That was the basic outline of our Halloween adventure.

That is awesome! Of course I noticed right away that it is a mirror image, since I think your (hair) part is on the other side. But this did not detract in the slightest from the scary overall look. Very, um, nice. I would like to see the mummy too. With you guys in the audience I can understand why the projector was having problems… Muahahaha!!

Callum Cooper won a $3,000 grant from the Parapsychology Foundation to finish his studies in telepathy and clairvoyance at The University of Northampton. Cooper says, ”My interest in the paranormal began growing up in Nottinghamshire where there is a vast amount of history of hauntings. I am constantly involved in the investigation of purportedly haunted locations with my own research team… and more recently I have been researching ‘Phone Calls and Text Messages from the Dead’.” Callum hopes to begin a PhD Research Degree on apparitions and hallucinations in 2010.

What was your wardrobe? Vest? Purple coat? Did you run into any other jokers?

Oh, yeah — it looks great, too.
